FAQ's

Stallholder frequently asked questions

What markets does Waikato Festive Markets run?

Waikato Festive Markets is the umbrella brand for three events: the Waikato Christmas Market, Mid Winter Christmas Market, and Waikato Easter Market. Stallholders may apply for one or multiple events.

How do I apply for a stall?

All stall applications are submitted online via our application form. Each event has its own form and closing date. Applying does not guarantee a space. Keep an eye on our socials on Instagram and Facebook, where we’ll announce when applications go live.

What types of stalls are accepted?

We welcome handmade goods, artisan products, food and beverage vendors, and seasonal specialty items. Commercial or imported products may be limited.

What are the stall fees?

Fees vary depending on the event, stall size, and whether power is required. Full pricing details are provided in the application form or acceptance email.

How are stallholders selected?

Selection is based on product suitability, variety, presentation, and past participation where applicable.

Is power available?

Limited power sites are available and must be requested at the time of application. Additional charges apply.

What equipment do I need to bring?

Stallholders must supply their own tables, chairs, marquees (if outdoors), extension leads, and display equipment. All equipment must be safe and well-presented.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

In the unlikely event of cancellation, our refund or credit policy will be outlined in the stallholder terms and conditions for each event.

Do I need insurance or permits?

Food vendors must hold all required council and food safety certifications. Public liability insurance is strongly recommended for all stallholders.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Please contact us via the email provided on the stallholder application page. We’re happy to help.
